Bartosz Grabski

Psychiatrist and sexologist, one of the few Fellows of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine in Poland, cognitive-behavioural psychotherapist (certificate of the Polish Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies No. 74), medical practitioner with over a doezen years of experience.

He completed his Masters and PhD degrees at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. In the years 2002-2010, he worked at the Department of Adult Psychiatry at the University Hospital in Krakow. He currently works as an assistant professor at the Department of Psychiatry of the Jagiellonian University Medical College and senior assistant at the Departments of Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the University Hospital in Krakow. He is a head of the Sexology Lab at the Department of Psychiatry of the Medical Faculty of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. He is actively involved in training courses, workshops and symposia both at home and abroad, and teaches courses in psychiatry and sexology to Polish and foreign students of medicine and psychology.

He has taken part in internships and training courses in Germany and Great Britain, works with Pink Therapy in London and is a member of the Bioethics Committee of the Jagiellonian University.

He has authored and co-authored several dozen scientific publications, including chapters and books on mood disorders, psychoeducation, psychopathology, and issues connected with mental and sexual health of gender and sexual diversity persons. He co-edited (with G. Iniewicz and M. Mijas) the first monograph in Poland dedicated to LGB psychology, “Wprowadzenie do psychologii LGB” (Introduction to LGB Psychology) and wrote the monograph for students and doctors “Podstawy badania psychiatrycznego” (Introduction to Psychiatric Assessment).

As a clinician, he is interested in mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), sexual disorders (erectile dysfunctions, premature ejaculation), including sexual disorders in non-heterosexual men, problems of gender and sexual diversity persons, and psychoeducation in psychiatry and sexology.

In psychotherapy, he prefers the approach based on schema therapy.

He also consults in English.

His hobbies include travelling, reading, tennis, skiing, playing chess and water sports, as well as enjoying good conversation and wine with friends.
